Tour program:

Day 1: Hanoi arrival (/)

Our tour guide and driver will welcome you at Noi Bai airport with our company’s sign board and escort you to the hotel for check in if it’s available. Free at leisure and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour – Night Train to Lao Cai (B/L/)

This full day tour takes you around Hanoi's most interesting sights, our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi then start for the excursion. We will visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and his Stilts House, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda nearby, and the Hanoi Old Quarter also known as the 36 streets and guilds. Also on the tour - the Lake of the Restored Sword and Ngoc Son Temple, the Temple of Literature, peaceful West Lake or Ho Tay with lovers Thanh Nien Street, the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda and QuanThanh Temple and one of the city's museums, either the History Museum or the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. We will take 1 hour cyclo tour around the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Free for your diner before pick you up and transfer you to the train station for the night train to Lao Cai (20:00). Overnight on the train. Share 4 berth wooden cabin – soft sleeper with A/C

Please note that the Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is open in the morning only, it is closed on Monday and Friday, and most museums are closed on Mondays.

Day 3: Lao Cai - Sapa – Cat Cat Village (B/L/)

Arrive at Lao Cai Train station at about 6.30. Take a transfer to Sapa. Have breakfast at local restaurant and explore Sapa Town. Check in and time at leisure.

In the afternoon, you will visit Sapa town and take a 2km short trekking to Cat Cat Village, the home of H’mong minority. Back to Sapa for lunch. In the afternoon visit Ta Fin village with Tafin handicraft shops and explore the daily life of Red Dzao. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 4: Sapa – Hill tribe villages (Lao Chai & Ta Van Villages) – night train to Hanoi (B/-/D)

In the morning, take a drive to visit Lao Chai village – home of Black H’Mong – here you trek through terraced rice fields to villages, meet and talk with locals to learn more about their daily life and habits. You trek through Ta Van village – home of Dzay hill tribe and get on car back to Sapa. Free time for relax before transfer to Lao Cai.  Have dinner at local restaurant before getting on night train to Hanoi. Share 4 berth wooden cabin – soft sleeper with A/C

Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay overnight on junk board (B/L/D)

You will be met by your guide early this morning at Hanoi’s railway station. After breakfast you will have over 3 hours dride along the country side of the Red River Delta to the UNESCO world’s heritage site of Halong Bay. A traditional style Vietnamese Junk Cruise is waiting your arrival and will set sail at noon today. Lunch will be served on board amidst spectacular views of the bay. Today you will visit one of the largest caves in Halong Bay and included is a beach stop where perhaps you may want to take a swim or dip in the water of the South China Sea.

Tonight enjoy a fresh seafood dinner on the Junk. Overnight on the junk.

Day 6: Halong Bay – Ninh Binh (B/L/)

Participate in Tai Chi on the top deck or simply watch the sunrise over the magnificent bay. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee or juice before setting out to the near- by cave on row boat. Watch for monkeys high on the cliff tops. Return back to the junk, where breakfast is served, while sailing around Bay Tu Long bay where the film “Indochine” was made. Your cruise will end at noon. Drive to Ninh Binh. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 7: Tam Coc Boat Trip – Hoa Lu Ancient Capital – Cuc Phuong National Park (B/L/D)

Have breakfast at the hotel, transfer you to Tam Coc boat station, Tam Coc known as "Halong Bay on land" boasting breathtaking scenery, “Tam Coc” means three caves. We get on small rowing boats, the boat trip to all three caves takes about two hours.

We will then take a short transfer through the peaceful country road to Hoa Lu, once the Vietnam’s ancient capital 11 centuries ago. Here are the two temples dedicated to the King Dinh and King Le, the founder of the capital in 10th century. Drive to Cuc Phuong National Park, check in a guesthouse, diner & overnight in the guesthouse in the park.

Day 8: Cuc Phuong National Park Trekking – Primate Rescue Center – Hanoi (B/L/)

In the morning, we visit the flora, fauna and one-thousand-year-old sequoia tree, and the cave of Prehistoric man in Cuc Phuong National Park (about 3 hours trekking). Get back to a restaurant in the park for lunch, after lunch, we drive back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 9: Hanoi - departure (B/)

Breakfast at hotel and free time until transfer to the airport for departure flight. End of travel service.
